How to run a Manual Load Test with initiating commands from the user interface:

  1. While on the EPMS screen and viewing a system, select the Start Event button and the platform displays the Event Setup Wizard.

  1. Select the Test Type of Load in the description.

  1. Select the Next button and the platform displays the event configuration screen.
  2. Use the default Report Title or change the name of the event.
  3. Use the default email or change/add an email separated by commas to receive the event reports.
  4. If applicable check the System Checklist items.
  5. Select an ATS Event Group.
  6. Use the default (suggested) Initiating ATS or select a different one.
  7. Select the “Initiate commands through the User Interface” and the platform disables the “Block Time (sec)” and “Block Size”.
  8. SKIP to use the default configured “Time to wait to begin event data capture (min)”.
  9. Select the “Enforce 30% load rule to start test” for the system to start the test once the generator reaches 30% of the rated kW.
  10. Select the Next button to continue with the Event Setup Wizard.

  1. Expand the system details by clicking on the (+) symbol next to the system name and the platform displays the event setup details.

  1. Review your selections.
  2. Use the Previous button to make configuration changes.
  3. Use the Cancel button to cancel the event setup.
  4. When ready select the Finish Setup button and the platform will display a final confirmation screen.

  1. Select the Run Test button and the platform will start the test.

Warning:  the test will start after the Run Test button is selected!

EPMS


  1. Control the equipment and monitor the test from the EPMS screen.
  2. When the test initiates then the platform display a message “The system is waiting for a manual command.” and displays a [-] and [+] buttons next to each ATS (except for the initiating ATS) in the Equipment Details.
  3. The platform sets the event status to Test and the equipment status displays the number of active equipment.
  4. Once the initiating ATS has transferred to emergency power then select the [+] button for the next ATS to transfer and the platform sends a command to transfer the ATS.
  5. Repeat the previous step until all ATS(s) [+] have been selected.
  6. Optional – ATS (s)can be removed from the test by selecting the [-] button.
  7. By this time the generator(s) should be running.
  8. In the equipment details, the platform displays the equipment in the test with an Active equipment status.
  9. Once all the ATS(s) have transferred then the platform will pause and wait a configured period before starting the event timer.
  10. When the event time remaining reaches 00:00:00 then the platform will display a message “The system is waiting for a manual command.” and displays a [-] button next to each ATS in the Equipment Details.    

EPMS


  1. Select each ATS [-] button and the platform sends a command to re-transfer the ATS.
  2. The ATS(s) will re-transfer and the generator(s) will stop.
  3. Once all the ATS(s) have re-transferred and the generator(s) cooldown has completed then the platform will end the event.

Note:  the event can be canceled at any time by clicking on the Cancel Event button.
