How to view, acknowledge and configure Alarms

View Alarms

The platform is pre-configured with Generator Alarms, Generator Running Alarms and Communication Alarms.  These alarms are displayed in the Alarm queue and can be sent via email or text.  In the application header is a bell icon that provides an indication if your location has an alarm or not.  The alarm indicator status colors are the following:

  •  No Alarms
  •  Active Alarms
  •  Cleared but Unacknowledged Alarms

Acknowledge Alarms

How to Acknowledge Alarms:

  1. To display the Alarms, navigate to the app header select the alarm icon  and the platform displays the alarm queue

Alarms 

  1. Select the checkbox next to the alarm to acknowledge an alarm
  2. Select the Acknowledge button
  3. The Inactive Alarms that are acknowledged will be removed from the Alarms list
  4. The Active Alarms that are acknowledged will still appear in the Alarms list without a checkbox 

Alarm Indicators:

  • Active Unacknowledged = Red with a checkbox
  • Active Acknowledged = Red with no checkbox
  • Inactive Unacknowledged = Yellow with a checkbox

Note:  the entity details can be accessed from the alarm by selecting the entity hyperlink. 

Alarms Configured

How to view configured alarms:

  1. To display the Alarms, navigate to the app header select the alarm icon  and the platform displays the alarm queue
  2. Select the Configured tab and the application displays a list of alarms that are configured
  3. Select one of the Details links and the application displays the alarm details

How to update configured discrete alarms:

  1. To display the Alarms, navigate to the app header select the alarm icon  and the platform displays the alarm queue
  2. Select the Configured tab and the application displays a list of alarms that are configured
  3. Select one of the Details links for a discrete alarm and the application displays the alarm details
  4. One or more of the following can be done to modify a discrete alarm:
    1. Select the checkbox to remove the check to no longer alarm on this set point
    2. Select the discrete value field to change the value the alarm should be triggered on
    3. Select a different level in the Level list of values
    4. Enter or change the alarm description that will be used in the alarm modal and in the alarm email notification
    5. Select or Remove the Conditional Gate Tag
    6. Update the Alarm Time Delay(s)
  5. Select the Save button

 Alarm Detail – Discrete Data Point  

How to update configured analog alarms:

  1. To display the Alarms, navigate to the app header select the alarm icon  and the platform displays the alarm queue
  2. Select the Configured tab and the application displays a list of alarms that are configured
  3. Select one of the Details links for an analog alarm and the application displays the alarm details
  4. One or more of the following can be done to modify an analog alarm:
    1. Select the alarm Set Point check box to include it as an alarm
    2. Deselect the alarm Set point to remove it as an alarm
    3. Next to the Alarm Set Point change the value the alarm should be triggered on
    4. Select a different level in the Level list of values
    5. Enter or change the alarm description that will be used in the alarm modal and in the alarm email notification
    6. Select or Remove the Conditional Gate Tag
    7. Update the Alarm Time Delay(s)
  5. Select the Save button

Note:  If the End User attempts to remove an alarm that is associated to another alarm in the Conditional Gate Tag then the application will display a message that the other alarm configuration will need to be modified. 

Alarms Not Configured

How to view non-configured alarms:

  1. To display the Alarms, navigate to the app header select the alarm icon  and the platform displays the alarm queue
  2. Select the Not Configured tab and the application displays a list of alarms that are not yet configured 

Alarms – Not Configured  

How to configure discrete alarms:

  1. To display the Alarms, navigate to the app header select the alarm icon  and the platform displays the alarm queue
  2. Select the Not Configured tab and the application displays a list of alarms that are not yet configured
  3. Select one of the Configure links for a discrete alarm and the application displays the alarm configuration modal
  4. Select the checkbox to add the Alarm Set Point
  5. Select True or False for the value the alarm should be triggered on
  6. Select an Alarm Level
    1. Optional – enter an alarm description that will be used in the alarm modal and in the alarm email notification
  7. Optional – Select a Conditional Gate Tag
  8. Optional - Update the Alarm Time Delay(s)
  9. Select the Save button

How to configure analog alarms:

  1. To display the Alarms, navigate to the app header select the alarm icon  and the platform displays the alarm queue
  2. Select the Not Configured tab and the application displays a list of alarms that are not yet configured
  3. Select one of the Configure links for a discrete alarm and the application displays the alarm configuration modal
  4. Select the checkbox(s) to add the Alarm Set Point
  5. Enter a value for each selected Set Point that the alarm should be triggered on
  6. Select an Alarm Level for each selected Set Point
  7. Optional – enter an alarm description that will be used in the alarm modal and in the alarm email notification
  8. Optional – Select a Conditional Gate Tag
  9. Optional - Update the Alarm Time Delay(s)
  10. Select the Save button
